Mustard Seed Music Studio Lessons Policies
Tuition is pro-rated for the number of weeks remaining in the semester.
Lesson Cancellations and Makeups:
Each student is entitled to two (2) makeup lessons for the Fall and Spring semesters, and one (1) makeup for the Summer semester if MSMS is provided 24-hour notice. A scheduled makeup lesson that is canceled or missed by the student will be considered as made-up, and cannot be rescheduled. If you do not show up for a lesson there will be no refund or makeup available. Any lesson canceled by MSMS due to inclement weather or teacher absence will be made-up. All makeups must be completed by the end of the semester, either on a provided makeup lesson day or when a lesson time becomes available. Each semester will have an allotted amount of makeup lesson days at the end of the semester.
Parental Involvement at Lessons:
Parents or caregivers may stay in the studio to observe lessons if they prefer or they may wait outside the studio.
Practice Expectations:
Students are required to practice at home between lessons. Daily practice is vital to musical progress. The recommended amount of practice time will be discussed with the student depending on their age and skill level.
Questions or Concerns:
Please let me know if you or your child has any questions about your child’s private lessons or at home practice time. I realize it can be confusing for parents who have never played an instrument to answer their child’s music questions at home. By sharing your concerns I will be better equipped to make lessons a more positive experience for both you and your child.

No refund for lessons will be granted after the fourth lesson of the semester. Refunds will be given for the semester, less the lessons taken, if notice is given by the end of the fourth scheduled lesson.
